It can be very easy to go the route where the paycheck is higher or the title seems more glamorous. I’ve learnt to trust my capabilities. I’ve studied and continue to expand my knowledge in the current position that I occupy, so I need to trust that I making the right decisions.” She says her it was a “privileged to attend both Stepping Stone courses and I have to say that was the highlight of my time at UCT. I learned a lot from the team and would recommend the courses to anyone who wants to hone their skills in film and television production.”

The advice she has to give incoming students is “Take your time, it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Your mental health is very important. Seek help when you need it. Imposter syndrome within the academic world I very real, just remember that you are there for a reason and you wouldn’t be accepted in whatever programme that you are in if you did not qualify or have the capabilities.”
