CFMS recently announced that two of its alumni were nominated for the South African Film and Television Awards, and we are privileged to broadcast that both Mia Cilliers and Roxanne Dalton won in their individual categories.

On 16 March 2017 Reel Epic Productions’ documentary Six to Six directed by CFMS alumna Mia Cilliers, won the SAFTA for Best Achievement in Directing. Reel Epic thanked POST and the Forensic Pathology Services “for allowing us into your world.”

Roxanne Dalton’s film Finding Freedom wont the Best Student Film Award. Roxanne completed her Masters in Documentary Arts degree at CFMS where she successfully completed her first short documentary Free Inside. Finding Freedom – Life after a Life Sentence is her first long form documentary.
