Panel: The state of political journalism in a changing South Africa

In commemoration of “Black Wednesday”—the day the Apartheid Government closed down newspapers (The World and World on Sunday) and banned several organisations and journalists on 19th October 1977— the Centre for Film & Media Studies (CFMS) is hosting a panel discussion featuring some of South Africa’s senior journalists.

Richard Poplak: Daily Maverick political journalist and author of, among other books, Until Julius Comes: Adventures in the political jungle.
