Biography:
Dr Adam Haupt is the author of Stealing Empire: P2P, Intellectual Property and Hip-Hop Subversion (HSRC Press, 2008), which is available under an open content license at www.hsrcpress.co.za. The book tells the story of people defining themselves as active, creative and politically concious agents in a consumerist society. Other past life experiences: Cape Technikon; freelanced for the Mail and Guardian, SL and Y magazines; e-commerce ventures; dabbled in television and video production and experimented in music and; spoken word / poetry performance.
